Tristan sailed across the Atlantic with his parents when he was two. His dad taught him to sail and row when he was 4 and he started after school sailing and sailing summer camps when he was 7. He's most proud of being a part of the sailing teams he currently sails with because it makes him feel accomplished given his age. More specifically, Tristan has 2 consecutive overall Caribbean 600 wins/1 maxi worlds win. He has done the most sailing on big keel boats but he grew up sailing optimist and then lasers in South Africa. He also grew up windsurfing and is an avid wing foiler.
